Not my first rodeo.

As a young boy of 11 years of age, my love for sports and enthusiasm to become an announcer began with professional wrestling. I would get up in the middle of the night to watch WCW Monday Nitro and watch the sports, and entertainment, of pro wrestling. As part of these episodes, I also became familiar with one of the voices of professional boxing, Hall of Fame announcer Michael Buffer.

From there in my teenage years, I would develop a love for all sports and in particular with Arsenal in the English Premier League. I knew a career in broadcasting awaited.

THE INTERNATIONAL HOST

I began my broadcasting career on community radio in 2003, as a colour personality talking all things sports on the live-to-air Sports Drive home in my hometown of Queanbeyan, Australia. It is there that I honed my research and speaking skills and further developed my love for broadcasting and analyzing all things sports.

Following this introduction to broadcasting, I went on to broadcast for a national radio network, write for newspapers and magazines, and appear on programs to give insight. I was then given an opportunity to become a professional boxing ring announcer and live pitchside football presenter, and this had taken me to the biggest fights and football events in the world.

“The good ones have a presence and Stephen Peios is definitely one of the good ones! Stephen is a world class host and announcer who vastly improves the experience of both the live crowd and the broadcast audience.”

—Ben Damon, Fox Sports commentator and the voice of Australian Boxing.

“I am passionate about all sport and have travelled to every continent to experience it, taking in sport from the league and cups of every major code.”

-Steve Peios
